RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Security Engineer. Summary:The Security Engineer is responsible for leading selection and development of cloud security tooling in support of a cloud-first environment from a hybrid cloud infrastructure, and engineer security orchestration and automated response technologies and processes aimed at remediation of cyber issues identified in vulnerability management, identity management, security engineering, and security operations areas. The Security Engineer will work closely with technical resources and business units on cloud security infrastructure initiatives, designing security controls and guardrails, and ensuring security best practices are built into new technology solutions.Responsibilities: Security Engineer will build solutions to assist with automation of common security tasks (e.g., threat intelligence lookups, malware analysis, reporting and sample analysis) Work with enterprise cloud architect(s) to integrate solutions that align to zero-trust and defense in depth models Consult on enterprise cloud security strategy and participate in maturity mapping activities Design, develop and recommend solutions that ensure security of the data in cloud environments Security Engineer will partner with Security Architecture in design and formulation of security design patterns Ensure security of cloud assets by integrating best practices for identity-based security, shared secrets, key rotation, and other security requirements Build tools to assist with the automation of large datasets and platform automation (SIEM, etc.) Support integration of cloud-native tools with existing on-premises services that enhance visibility across our cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google) Security Engineer will implement event-driven automations on cloud-native tooling (e.g. Lambda, Step, etc.) to respond to incidents and security team needsREQUIREMENTS: One or more of the following certifications: CISM, CISA, CISSP, or other accredited certification that demonstrates expert knowledge in information security program development, design, and management, and that requires continuing education credits to maintain certification Minimum of ten years of experience in network, application, and security administration In-depth knowledge and experience in holistic system architecture covering enterprise class applications and networking Strong understanding of scripting and general task automation Advanced knowledge of networking/distributed computing environment concepts Advanced knowledge of routing and client/server programming Advanced knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices Advanced technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Cisco, Microsoft and Linux Advanced ability working with a SIM (Security Information Management) Advanced ability securing cloud technologies for enterprise solutions Advanced ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction Advanced critical thinking skills with the ability to move beyond proven problem-solving approaches to formulate solutions Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict Advanced knowledge of Nessus Security Center is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
