SOC Analyst

Title: SOC Analyst Job Description As TB Consulting continues to rapidly grow, they are looking to bring on an 8 th member of their security team. At the core, this role involves much of your typical SOC Analyst responsibilities like network security and monitoring. To be more specific, most of the tools they uses are in-house and custom built but a person in this role would be responsible for reviewing P-Caps, Firewall and Post logs, responding to alerts, as well as monitoring and analyzing using Splunk. Although a good portion of the role involves incident management and response, there is also a client facing aspect where the person will spend some of their time interfacing with clients to provide advisory remediation on what should be executed upon by the client in response to alerts. Additionally, this person would be able to help make rules, tuning and even grow into more advanced responsibilities like pen testing. This position will be completely remote and as TB Consulting continues to bring on new clients, opportunities for growth are great. Required Skills & Experience

• Reviewing P-Caps
• Excellent customer-service skills
• Experience with everything Firewall related
• Experience analyzing Post logs
• Heavy experience with Network forensics
• Solid Cybersecurity fundamentals
• Experience with monitoring tools and alert response

• Pen testing
• Heavy Splunk experience
• SIEM tools

• Review Packet Captures
• Work in and around Firewalls
• Work with client to provide advisory remediation on what should be executed upon by the client in response to an alert
• Proactively direct customers to self-help while appropriately auctioning any customer training needs taken toward resolution.
• Incident management and response
