Job DetailsResponsibilities:
  • Work with both internal and external customers on defining system and performance requirements.
  • Lead the design and development of high voltage battery management system that is flexible and scalable to span multiple sectors of the high voltage battery landscape.
  • Develop schematics, circuit layouts, component selection and work with supply chain management to source parts in a timely and economical manner.
  • Ensuring a quality and traceable hardware development process is followed and institutionalized.
  • Knowledgeable in Automotive Safety Integrity levels and implementation of ISO2626
  • Work with software engineers to develop flexible cost optimized product that can service a wide range of applications.
  • Lead hardware DFMEA activities and functional safety analysis.
  • Develop Timelines and project plans for feature development from requirements analysis through validation.
  • Approve and plan feature content for hardware development.
  • Support the development of support tools and infrastructure for future software updates, including over the air updates and update tools.
  • Leads Root Cause and Failure Analysis activities for electrical systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum BSEE, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive or similar hardware development/leadership
  • Proficient in high voltage hardware development as well as microprocessor-based circuitry
  • Experience in battery management system design is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to extract implied requirements and future proof BMS design
  • Experience in both hardware and low-level software development is preferred.
  • Adept in data processing and statistical analysis.
  • Experienced with the handling of low and high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems.
  • Educated on common automotive & industry test certifications.
  • Familiar with the product design process, and APQP documentation.
