Description Job Description:The Government Health and Safety Solutions group is currently seeking a Network Control/Data Center Monitoring Analyst to supporting a large healthcare contract in Windsor Mill, MDAnalyst position in the VDC Network Control Center (NCC) - Tier I with a focus on Monitoring activities. Serve as a NCC Analyst working in the NCC and maintaining operations of CMS VDC Systems. The NCC is the focal point for monitoring systems supporting CMS VDC and coordinating the processes and activities that focus on restoring service as quickly as possible after an incident occurs. Monitors computing resources within the CMS VDC Environments. Alerts systems owners, stakeholders and management of degraded system status and Severity 1 incidents. Research system problems, troubleshoots, escalates and documents corrective actions. Assist with Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration management and Crisis Management activities. Collaborates with peers from other Functional Areas and shares relevant information regarding incidents and events on different platforms. Monitors data center networks, infrastructure bandwidth, application health, servers and other infrastructure. Coordinates and communicates with vendors.Schedule: Base schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5am-5pm base days and every fourth Thursday.Primary ResponsibilitiesUtilize the monitoring systems to maintain system health awareness. Utilize phone, email, instant messaging, and other systems to facilitate communication between parties. Provide front line service support to engineers and customers. Assist with the performance of Change Management to ensure all changes to the environment are properly authorized and documented. The production and distribution of timed reports. Plus, additional duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsBS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Fundamental IT Technical Experience.-Basic Windows Server Administration-Basic Network/Infrastructure (Cisco)-Strong Microsoft Office Skills (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK). Strong Communication Skills- Written and Verbal Skills- Collaboration.
