Ledgent Technology in Atlanta is actively looking for a Database & BI/ETL Developer (permanent role) for our client in the downtown Atlanta area!
SummaryThe Database and BI/ETL Developer serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert (SME) supporting Financial Reporting, Planning and Forecasting, and Loan Analytics Reporting applications. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day administration of these applications, related database administration, ETL activities, as well as the development, maintenance and distribution of relevant reports to management. Responsibilities may also include collaboration with cross-functional project teams on various internal data integration and automation initiatives within the organization.Job Duties- Oversees management of various business applications, including BI/ETL activities for a multitude of data sources, as well as development and maintenance of visually engaging financial reports and dashboards for use by Management
- Provides leadership in designing and implementing effective data architecture to support existing and future requirements of the organization's financial reporting needs
- Maintains database table definitions, structures, documentation and operational processes within appropriate guidelines, policies and internal control standards
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of database files, through regular data quality analysis, validation and monitoring
- Develops and maintains Application planning files and routines supporting the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process.
- Proactively collaborates and communicates with Finance leadership and CU business units to analyze, gather and prioritize reporting requirements
- Researches and recommends best practices for delivery of Application product features
- Collaborates with vendors and Enterprise Technology to test and install new application releases and upgrades in accordance with vendor and the organization's established change control procedures
- Collaborates with internal Business Transformation team to successfully obtain needed data from our Fiserv core system.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in developing and working with relational/dimensional data models and optimizing the database for both
- At least 5 years' experience coding SQL
- At least 3 years' experience working with Excel data models, Power Query and Power BI
- At least 3 years' experience working with financial reporting systems, ALM systems and/or Core processing systems in a Financial Institution is strongly preferred
