Complete Description IT Integration Manager

Position Overview The Integrations Manager will be responsible for managing a team and individually contributing that ensures system uptime, database administration ("DBA"), systems administration and other technical functions which support operations and software development.

Responsibilities & Functions Your team will be responsible for the functions described below. In most cases, you will hire individual contributors to carry out functions based on work demand, and in some cases, you will need to be an individual contributor based on your technical expertise.
  • Become an expert in your field, capable of being an individual contributor for the most technically complex challenges, and a mentor/manager to more junior team members for more common work.
  • Systems DBA: installation, configuration, patching, upgrade, backup, restoration and/or disaster recovery, refresh, performance optimization, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Application DBA: provide application DBA support to a variety of internally hosted applications. Work with other departments to migrate toward third-party SaaS applications for the majority of business functions where suitable products/solutions exist to meet the needs of business stakeholders. Examples include an internally hosted accounting application which will require application DBA work immediately but which we will migrate to third-party SaaS solution in conjunction with other business stakeholders such as the CFO and head of internal IT.
  • Make changes to application databases as necessary to support operational functions. Examples include adding entries to tables or adding/editing/removing users to support client configuration.
  • Manage the company's instances of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Manage the company's internally hosted serves and network appliances, including interfacing with the data center, troubleshooting/replacing equipment, and optimizing network configuration. Work with other parts of the development team to migrate the company from internally hosting infrastructure to a cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Support releases of the company's internally developed applications in conjunction with the development team.
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor systems which will ensure system uptime, and maintain procedures to be able to quickly respond to performance degradation or outages in proportion to the severity of the incident.
  • Implement and maintain integrations between the company's applications and third-party applications, using HL7, JSON, and other common integration protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the company's Information Security Manager to ensure adherence to the company's information security policies, to ensure systems and application resilience to threats (i.e., ransomware, employee data manipulation, and other similar issues).
  • Create and keep current the sections of the company's business continuity and disaster recovery policies and procedures relevant to systems and applications managed by your team.

Supervision Received
  • You will report to the CTO.
  • Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to work with minimal supervision.

Supervision Exercised
  • You will manage 2 DBAs.
  • We envision your team will also include at least 1 other individual contributor who will development and maintain integrations.
  • Your team will grow overtime as the scope of work changes.

Qualifications & Skills

Required
  • A bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of experience performing DBA functions
    • 1 or more years of experience performing DBA functions in an AWS environment
    • 1 or more years of experience performing DBA functions in an internally hosted environment.
  • 1 or more years of experience with relational database (such as MS-SQL or MySQL)
  • 1 or more years of experience with document databases (such as MongoDB or Amazon DocumentDB).

Preferred
  • 5 or years of experience performing DBA functions
  • 2 or more years of experience managing a DBA team
  • Experience with and/or exposure to AWS, MongoDB, Java, .NET, Tableau
  • SaaS, healthcare, payments industry and/or high growth company experience
  • General knowledge of the Revenue Cycle Management Industry
