What You'll DoAs a Program Manager II, you'll be part of our Engineered Fastening Team.Responsibilities:

  • Act as single point of contact for Customer Engineering.
  • Lead and support Engineering Change Management process alongside Engineering Change Coordinator for responsible customer products.
  • Champions review and approval of all Customer requirements.
  • Creates, executes and maintains Program/Project plan (scope, schedule, cost, risk) and Program/Project issues (PDCA, Action Register etc.).
  • Manage internal and external build (Vehicle, System etc.) activities throughout the Program Development Cycle.
  • Supports Sales / Marketing and Product Management in the cost collaboration process (Systems / Tooling and Piece Price) with the Customer, including Contract Management.
  • Lead Cross Functional team in the achievement of common goals / objectives (Key Performance Indicators - Development, Quality, Launch, Financial, etc). Initiates and conducts Cross Functional team meetings to ensure Program / Project is on time and all Customer requirements and internal/external issues are being addressed in an efficient manner.
  • Assures adherence to APQP / PPAP deliverables.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Program Management guidelines, including preparation for Program / Project Gate Reviews. Report monthly to Customer and Management the Program / Project status (Program Readiness Reviews).
  • Support the Engineering, Operational and Purchasing team(s) in the use of VA/VE methodology, including the delivery of commitments. Engage and support Manufacturing facilities as required in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Launch Readiness Reviews.
  • Develops Launch Support Plan. Manage global engineering process, documentation and change management teams.
  • Engage Senior Management where appropriate to ensure successful Launch of projects and installations.
Who You Are You're a curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life. You're creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always. You also have:Education:Bachelor of Science, Engineering preferred. Graduate education favorable.Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years Automotive Industry experience.
  • 5+ years of successful Program / Project Management experience.
Skills:
  • Experience in Product Life Cycle (PLM) / Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project or equivalent.
  • Business / Finance and Engineering acumen.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification favorable.
  • Successful track record in leading the execution of Program / Project teams with adherence to cost / timing and constraints.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Able to research the current state and collect the data needed. This includes understanding what data is needed.
  • Ability to lead and negotiate solutions that balance technical capability and cost / timing in accordance with business need.
  • Commanding / efficient communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage diverse internal and external customers, co-workers and varying levels of management.
  • Ability to de-escalate and resolve Conflicts that would otherwise halt project progress. Active listening skills required.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Autonomous, accountable and transparent approach to the management of the position's roles and responsibilities.
  • Leads by example with respect and integrity.
