Title: Senior Programmer AnalystStart Date: 9/13/2021 End Date: 9/12/2022Location: Orlando, FL 32819Position summary: The Payment Systems Support Team is responsible for participating in the overall sustainment, ongoing strategy, standardization, analysis, design, implementation and configuration of Payment systems and services at Client.The Senior Programmer Analyst's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and deliver technology solutions in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes testing, analyzing and supporting software programs and applications. The Senior Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.Essential duties and responsibilities:MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME•Consistently test, configure and monitor software programs and applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging. 30%.•Liaise with other technical staff to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems. Provide day-to-day application support on software systems at the Orlando Parks Technology locations. Periodically this includes after hours on-call support. Collaborate and assist other Parks Technology locations as needed. 20%.•Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments. 20%.•Collaborate with project team, programmer analysts and architects in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications. 15%.•Provide daily/weekly status reports and communicate open issues to team and manager 5%.•Support Release Management and Change Control processes along with other UPT Compliance Initiatives 10%.•Perform other duties as assigned.•Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Client policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.Scope:Follow established Client Technology methodologies and provide input to improve practices. Use established development and support tools to meet Service Level Agreements. Use established project management tools to report project labor for approved projects. Work directly with Parks Technology management and participate in regular meetings with the user community.Qualifications:•Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail are required.•Highly self-motivated and self-directed is required. Ability to think pragmatically and outside of the box.•Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required.•Extensive experience in SQL database, query best practices, and reporting using SQL Server Reporting Services is required.•Supports assigned applications in collaboration with Level 1 support and other members of Parks Technology including vendor resources.•Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products, and completing appropriate documentation is required.•Understanding and ability to troubleshoot system interfaces/integrations, data extracts or translations is required. Experience with Inventory/Recipe Management system integrations with software such as Eatec or JDA MMS is a plus.•Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively contribute to multiple projects in an efficient manner are required.•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment is required.•Strong track record meeting targets and objectives is required.•Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical/business staff as well as with members of technical/interdisciplinary teams is required.•Hands-on experience developing unit test cases and plans.•Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required.•Ability to read, write, and understand technical documentation is required.•Ability to manage a high volume of details with excellent accuracy is required.•Results oriented with a history of problem-solving resolution and prevention preferred.•Working understanding of platforms such as Windows required.•Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.•Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, and effectively handle sensitive/ confidential matters efficiently and professionally is required.•Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies.•Time beyond normal business hours may be required to meet project deadlines or business needs.•Periodic on and after hours on-call rotation is required.•Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.•Consistent attendance is a job requirement.Education:•Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred in MIS, Computer Science, or other IT related discipline, and/or 5-7 years equivalent work experience.Experience:•Experience with technical support of large systems is required. Experience with Clarity/Freedom POS, Matra, Omnico or Galaxy ticketing preferred. Solution planning and execution of installations, upgrades, and hotfixes. Application support in excess of 50 unique locations is ideal.•Extensive experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server is required. Couchbase experience a plus.•Experience with general programming/scripting languages including but not limited to Batch, VBScript, Powershell is required.•Experience with intermediate programming languages including but not limited to C, C#, .NET/ASP.NET is preferred.•Experience in the hospitability industry preferred.Specific qualifications, skills & abilities:•Familiarity with merchant processing and banking rules.•Familiarity with PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, or EMV a plus.•Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.Additional information:•The job is based in Orlando, Florida and requires 24x7 support, either on-call or on-site.•Willingness to travel and/or work weekends with short notice.
