Summary of Role\: GlobalFoundries seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to work with the customer, Test engineers and the reliability group to manage the burn-in Ovens and burn-in capability. The engineer will understand the capability of the ovens and the burn-in electronics to build burn-in boards for Automotive products. They will then program the Ovens and provide technical support to manufacturing as required. The engineer would interface directly with GlobalFoundries's external customs to understand their requirements and their key stress parameters which are sensitive to the process technology or the circuit. They would work with the GlobalFoundries test engineers to understand how to operate the part and the reliability group to understand the stress conditions.They would have access to a set of world class R, C and Python test analysis tools to analyze data.The engineer will also work with the sales, process engineers, RF designers and process yield analysis engineers to understand GlobalFoundries mmWave Silicon technology and manufacturing limitations.The engineer will work in a highly skilled team of BS, MS and PhD, EE, CS and ME engineers contributing to their inventing and continuously improving the competitive position of our custom mmWave burn-in offerings. Essential Responsibilities include\:

  • Communicate with our Customer's engineering design staff on the product requirements for burn-in of their automotive components
  • Understand the basic design of burn-in oven circuits and the electrical equipment required to measure programs those circuits
  • Understand the fundamentals of statistics, and the GF tools to access data
  • Write programs on the MCC ovens to control the burn-in boards and stress ovens
  • Build relationships with our customers to leverage GlobalFoundries resources to make our customers successful
Other Responsibilities\:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Qualification: Required Qualifications\:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Related Discipline
  • 8 Years of Experience working with Burn-in equipment
  • 2 Years of Experience in program management
  • Experience programming in a script language and R
  • Experience calculating failure rates and doing problem solving on Automotive burn-in fails
  • Minimal Travel Required
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications\:
  • Knowledge of Automotive burn-in and quality requirements
  • Experience working with products requiring burn-in or High temp operational stress ions
  • Hands on experience with Burn-in ovens and programming ovens
  • Knowledge of R, Matlab, Python or equivalent data analysis software
