Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing seeks Manufacturing Engineer Weld in Clarion, IA.

Duties: Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. Make plans and decisions within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. Assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors. Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks. Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope. Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope. Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions. Develop and implement plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System. Design operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation. Participate in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency. Implement new manufacturing processes and technology. Support shop floor to address safety and ergonomics issues. Support new product development as needed. Telecommuting is permitted during COVID-19.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, plus 1 year of experience in the offered position or a related role. Requires 1 year of experience in all of the following: Welding processes; One or more related engineering areas such as industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, or quality; Project management and business planning - Small strategic projects or larger tactical projects with medium complexity; Engineering tools, systems, and databases such as Solidworks, Creo, or AutoCAD; and Line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
