E-Coat Engineer

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Preferred (Chemical, Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical / Operations / Industrial) or Equivalent Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within an automotive OEM paint shop or other E-Coat facility
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Hazardous Waste Training Level 1; DOT Hazmat Training
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the spray equipment, process, and chemicals must be demonstrated either through on the job performance, certification, or through vendor training programs
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime; and respond to emergencies and questions
- Develop and implement Paint PFMEA standards, policies and Process/Quality Control Plans
- Effectively manage and balance safety, quality, throughput, cost, and people to provide maximum value to the customer and the company
- Fluent with equipment & process planning, budget process and simultaneous engineering activities
- Knowledge of paint equipment & layouts
