Engineering Technician

Job Description

Enman Kesselring Consulting Engineers has an immediate opening for a Civil Engineer or Engineering Technician, EI or PE, ASCE or BSCE, with 2-5 years’, experience. Vermont Class A and B Designers are welcome to apply.

We are a team of professional engineers and designers who work with public and private sector clients in the commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, and public sectors, on a wide range of projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service, professional written and verbal communication skills, and desire for advancement. Familiarity with State of Vermont permit programs and regulations is beneficial. On the job training will be available for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities include:

Technical Support to engineering staff,

Field services including topographic surveys, field evaluations and construction phase observations.

AutoCAD drafting

Performing standard civil engineering design, calculations, and quantity estimates under the supervision of an engineer

Preparation of various ANR permit applications.

Applicant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associates Degree,

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills,

Attention to detail,

Ability to collaborate positively with teammates,

Ability to manage multiple tasks,

Self-motivated with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines,

Sound understanding of civil engineering fundamentals,

Relevant experience in civil / site design, utilities, and permitting,

Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D software, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office suite,
