Integration Engineer- Solar Cells

Principal Integration Engineer, R&DDescriptionAre you ready to take your career to the next level? We have a direct hire position with a leading manufacturer of solar panels used in space power applications (satellites and deep space exploration programs!)In this position you will:

• Develop new processes and materials to integrate solar cells into space solar panels.
• Work on process development, improvement, and automation of processes
• Work in an R&D environment, qualify technology, and transfer into manufacturing.
• Use CAD to design, evaluate, and prototype parts, tooling, and equipment.
• Evaluate materials and design of experiments for integration
• Need to be flexible in work environment/teams as well as an ability to learn about and develop new technology.

• 4 year degree (or better) in:
  • Mechanical/Aerospace/Materials Engineering or similar training most applicable
• Preferred 3+ years similar experience
• Aptitude and interest in process development and automation, materials behavior/selection, and mechanical design

• Knowledge/experience with metallic interconnection (welding, soldering, etc.), polymeric adhesive bonding, and circuit basics

• Proficient in use of computer-aided-design (CAD), SolidWorks preferred
• Experience with space hardware or design/materials for space environments is a plus

• Versatile, able to operate in a dynamic environment and meet aggressive deadlines when under pressure
