PROJECT FIELD ENGINEER-CARLSBAD

Role: The project engineer is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering projects of varying size and complexity. The field engineer is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM). This will be work on-site at projects in VARIOUS SITES IN NEW MEXICO.

Scope of Responsibilities:

· Provide assistance to the Project Manager

· Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications and related documents

· Track quantities in the field

· Perform moderate to complex mathematical problems, proficient with accurate concrete take-offs

· Monitor and schedule material delivery

· Coordinate with field supervision

· Maintain project EEO bulletin board

· May act as a liason between Company and Subcontractors, Utility Companies, Engineer and Owner

· Prepare correspondence and/or reports as required

· Follow-up on correspondence and outstanding requests for resolution

· Assist in creating monthly billings

· Participate in meetings with project manager, subcontractors, vendors and owners

· Other work as needed

The above outline of duties are not arranged in order of priority. Those responsibilities are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to describe minimum activities. Those duties will from time to time be altered by the PM to suit the needs of the company.

Qualifications: working towards a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.

Full Time (30 – 40 hours per week) 7am-5pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-12pm Fridays
