Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities of the receiving area. Assists warehouse management team with scheduling inbound loads, checking in drivers, entering outbound supply loads and all other duties as assigned.

  • Ensures that all items are properly entered on inbound and outbound PO’s and STO’s
  • Schedules inbound loads to ensure the work load stays consistent
  • Maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with all safety, USDA and OSHA regulations
  • Maintains or exceeds quality standards, performance and attendance metrics
  • Assists in training of new employees and the ongoing training of current employees to ensure quality, safety and productivity goals are met or exceeded
  • Ensures compliance with established processes and procedures
  • Maintains effective internal control over the product flow and account of inventory through area

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year experience in distribution center preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
