Registered Dental Assistant - Immediate Opening!

Exciting opportunity to be a part of an up and coming dental office! Canvas Dental has an opening for a Registered Dental Assistant position in the southwest area of Austin, TX. We are seeking to add an energetic, team-oriented dental assistant to our growing team!

Patients are very important to us, but so is our staff because you are the reason they come back. We would love a person who is warmhearted, friendly, positive, professional with the ability to communicate well with patients and team members.

Job Duties and Requirements:

Assist dentist with all procedures

Prepare, maintain, and sterilize instruments and equipment

Assist in maintaining the daily schedule

Prepare and break down treatment rooms

Greet patients with a friendly smile

Record and review medical history for each patient

Perform diagnostic quality digital X-rays

Chart existing and recommended treatment

Inventory management

Willingness to be cross trained in the front office as needed

Seating and dismissing patients

Providing post-treatment and/or operative care to patients

Assist with other office duties as requested or needed

Qualifications:

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Foreign trained dentists welcomed

Organized with good time-management skills for a smooth work-flow

Experienced at 4-handed dentistry a plus

Highly effective verbal and communication skills

Strong computer skills for creating, storing and retrieval of electronic records, documents and images with ability to learn new software

Excellent customer service skills

Professionalism in all aspects of job

Ability to present treatment plans and talk money with patients

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Team player - open to communication and self-improvement

Education & Background Requirements:

Texas registration certificate for dental assistants

X-ray certification

Nitrous certification a plus

Current CPR certification

Minimum 1 Year of Experience is preferred
