Android Engineer // Multimedia

We are looking for a well-rounded Android engineer to join our team and play a role in improving performance and build quality. Your work will change the way the world experiences audio on of the most used music streaming apps in the world. This is a fully remote role, operating on EST for one of the world's largest music streaming companies. This is android engineering position within the multimedia team. This is a contract to hire position and pays at $56/hr with overtime! This is a public company with a global workforce and is a digital first platform. They are looking for an android engineer between 4-5 years of experience that will balance out their mobile team. Work from is the norm, so as long as EST are workable, let's start up a conversation! Required Skills & Experience What You'll Do: - Work on new features and performance optimizations - Think deeply about instrumentation of features to improve metrics and logging - Improve stability and quality of features by tracking down bugs - Build a new onboarding experience for voice - Work exclusively in Java and Kotlin Who You Are: - Keen understanding of modern Android development - You know how to write readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented Java & Kotlin - You are experienced with native Android development tools - You are experienced with GitHub and Git workflows - iOS, Netty, or gRPC experience is a plus Where You'll Be: - We are a distributed workforce, WFH is the norm operating on EST What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

• 70% working on new features collaborating with designers and product management
• 30% chasing bugs
