Job Description

The Terrain Park Groomer Advanced will work directly with Terrain Park Managers, Supervisors, and other Terrain Park staff to implement grooming requests and plans as directed by the Park Leads, Park Supervisors or Manager. Terrain Park Groomer will assist in building on-snow features for skiers and riders of the Terrain Park and will work with outside event groups to complete special projects.

Essential Job Functions Work with Terrain Parks management and Mountain Operations staff to identify requirements and plans with Snowmaking, Winter Trails, Vehicle Shop and Ski Patrol departments Operate Snowcats equipment safely and efficiently Understands layout of the Terrain Park, grooming routes and patterns Executes building features from start to finish based on plans created in conjunction with management Complete all park grooming requests in a timely manner Work with Terrain Park management on creating general Terrain Park layout and design Communicate any malfunctions or damages to Snowcats with the Vehicle Maintenance Shop and Terrain Parks Manager immediately; ensure that all Snowcats are serviced according to the dates provided by the Vehicle Shop Assist in training of Terrain Park Groomers Complete Terrain Park Grooming Log Sheet on a daily basis Work with Ski Patrol when determining area closures during operating hours Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required Must be 18 years of age or older Approximately 5 years of grooming experience and two years of park host/crew experience required Experience with winch cats required; HPG or Zaugg pipe cutting preferred Experience with earth moving, chainsaws and other heavy machinery required First Aid certification preferred

Supervision Given and Received:Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the Terrain Park Director. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
