POSITION: Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Inspection Specialist
LOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IA

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees, inspects, and monitors contractual fieldwork, including excavation, boring, placement of hand holes, aerial strand and fiber cable installation, grounding, and monitoring restoration of work areas per client's standards.
Scheduling of work and inspection phases with Market Vendor contractor/s, superintendents, and agency personnel.
Validates as-built and project closeout documentation to confirm any red-line changes that have been incorporated into the final design and that all project completion requirements are met.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in an outside plant (OSP) construction inspection role (preferred, not necessary - will fully train)
Experience with digital field data collection
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies
Close attention to detail.
Motivated to learn the telecom business
Ability to work outdoors year-round
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Travel required
High School Diploma
Ability to work 90% of the time outdoors
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a drug test
