As a member of this family-owned and operated resort, you will help each guest feel like family and will work alongside a diverse and dedicated team who share Aloha with our guests each day.The Night Auditor is a service ambassador for the hotel. As a representative at the front desk, this position is often the first and last impression for our guest and extends courteous, hospitable service for the duration of a guest's stay. Often the first to greet guests upon arrival, the Night Auditor provides a warm welcome that makes a guest feel right at home, facilitates the check in process, and provides an orientation of the facilities and available services. They also play an intricate part in the hotel Accounting procedures by auditing the daily work.The role of Night Auditor can provide you with:the opportunity to make direct impact on the guest experience.

A typical night for the Night Auditor may include the following responsibilities:Performing night audit functions to include: posting room charges and other daily charges to guest folios; balancing guest folios; preparing various audit reports.

Performing the duties of Guest Service Agent, Reservations and Telephone Operator to fulfill inquiries and requests submitted during the overnight period.

Collaborating with the Security team to ensure the safety and security of the property during the overnight period and promptly responding to incidents and emergencies.

RequirementsThe ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, efficient, and self-motivated service professional. The ideal candidate possesses previous experience in front desk operations and/or hotel accounting with a strong preference for previous hotel night audit experience. The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:The ability to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to master property management software.

Strategic time management skills to provide expeditious service while ensuring completion of night audit functions within established time frames.

Excellent communication skills through various methods including phone and two-way radio etiquette, and proficient written communication skills.

Strong mathematical skill to calculate charges including applicable taxes, with accuracy.

Working knowledge of credit policies and accounting principles and applicable Federal and State regulations, including ADA guidelines, for hotel lodging.

As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings; such as criminal background checks, drug screening and personal and professional references.
