Automation / Controls Engineer, 75-95K 3+ Needed in the Fort Wayne areaOur client is a manufacturer of consumer products located in Fort Wayne, IN. Because of growth and the need to build new automated assembly and convey equipment to support operations, they are adding a Controls Engineer to their already great engineering staff. In the Controls Engineering role, you will be a critical project lead and manager for the specification, implementation, set up and programming of automated assembly equipment utilizing primarily Siemens controls in critical capital equipment for operations.

Responsibilities of the Automation / Controls Engineer:
  • Project management for the Designing, Specifying, Setting up, Improving, Programming, Repairing, maintaining and calibrating automated assembly lines, automated equipment and controls utilizing Siemens PLC's.
  • Interface with outside Machine, Automation, and control supply partners for the purpose of troubleshooting and defining processes.
  • Central data collection from machinery/equipment/automation.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Documentation.

CONTROLS ENGINEER Skills and Experience
  • AS, BS degree or equivalent experience with defined programs, controls, and automation.
  • 3+ years of directly-related automation and industrial controls design, implementation, maintenance, programming, specification, calibration, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong PLC/HMI Programming background including, but not limited to Siemens Controls. Allen Bradley experience is also nice.
  • Extensive experience with Siemens Controls and their interface with Servos, Robots, and so forth.
