RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing company in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. The Senior IT Security Engineer will provide information security administration and support as part of the IT Security Team. They will have the ability to work from home remotely, 2 to 3 days a week.Responsibilities of the Senior IT Security Engineer: Senior IT Security Engineer will measure, track, report, configure and operate security vulnerability status of IT assets in management systems Provide an escalation path for technical support and advice on specialist areas to security team members and other IT functions Configure vulnerability and policy compliance management systems As a Senior IT Security Engineer you will contribute to the creation of security principles, technical reference architectures, standards, baselines, blueprints, security operations including but not limited to approval, change, and authorizations Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures Investigate, analyze, and escalate resolution of security incidents Perform end user device threat containment and access control enforcing security policies and restrictions using network security technology Perform above information security activities at a more advanced level under the guidance and support of a Senior Information Security Engineer Senior IT Security Engineer will also provide consulting advice to infrastructure and applications teams on specialist areas Performing real-time web application protection against SQL injection attacks, malicious bots, zero-day attacks, data loss and defacement protection and any other web application attacks Identify and remediate vulnerability on parameter security devices and extended cloud based permeator in environment (Azure/O365) Communicate and train other IT Security team members in vulnerability managementREQUIREMENTS: BS degree from four-year college or university in Cybersecurity, Information technology or similar field or equivalent work experience 3-6 years of IT Security Engineering experience is desired Strong problem-solving skills is required Experience measuring, tracking, reporting, configuring and operating security vulnerability status of IT assets in management systems Experience configuring vulnerability and policy compliance management systems Experience creating security principles, technical reference architectures, standards, baselines, blueprints, security operations including but not limited to approval, change, and authorizations A track record of investigating, analyzing and escalating resolution of security incidents Strong experience performing end user device threat containment and access control enforcing security policies and restrictions using network security technology Experience with conducting real-time web application protection against SQL injection attacks, malicious bots, zero-day attacks, data loss and defacement protection and any other web application attacks is highly desired Experience in a Cloud environment such as Azure/O365 is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
