100% REMOTE We're looking for a talented Application Security Engineer to join our client. Leverage your expertise to solve day-to-day issues and drive the technical direction of the AppSec program!

Responsibilities of the Application Security Engineer:
  • Support application reviews and threat modeling
  • Perform application security vulnerability management
  • Support and consult with dev and product teams on application security concepts
  • Help to develop automated security testing to validate secure coding best practices
  • Guide and advise development teams as SME in the area of application security
  • Drive initiatives which scale application security and address multiple vulnerabilities
  • Drive the technical direction, roadmap, and short term architecture blueprints of the Application Security program

Requirements of the Application Security Engineer:
  • Experience working with developers
  • Professional communication skills - ability to articular complex topics clearly and concisely
  • Experience identifying security issues through code review
  • Strong understanding and experience with common security libraries, security controls, and common security flaws
  • Some development or scripting experience and skills; C# is preferred
  • SME of at least one technical area impacting the security of the product
  • Experience leading efforts or managing application security teams working in the DevOps model
  • Hands-on experience architecting, automating, maintaining, and securing Cloud Computing Platforms - Azure experience a plus
