Description Our Des Moines based client is a fast paced, entrepreneurial company that is looking for an energetic employee to join their growing team. Their end clients are in the Industrial/Manufacturing, Oil and Gas and the Biofuels market segments and their products are state of the art in the field. They are looking for an exceptional candidate to join their R& D team and to grow with the company. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and critical machines that directly affect the efficiency and operation of energy production plants across the world. In this mid-level role, the client desires an engineer who has:
- Strong understanding of Visual Basic (VB), XML and HMI
- Good written communication skills
- Positive work attitude and ability to multi-task on several projects
- Self-starter who can work individually or as a part of a team
- Ability to travel world-wide
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Engineer is expected to perform detailed design and engineering work that MAY include:• Reading and understanding project specifications, electrical and mechanical schematics, layout drawings, P& IDs, PFDs and logic and wiring diagrams • Design logic sequences and write PLC code for a variety of hardware platforms • Design and develop control architectures to achieve desired outcomes • Develop operator and engineer interfaces to using standard HMI tools • Potential for travel to exciting locations around the world for work and training. KNOWLEDGE: • Knowledge of Honeywell, Siemens, or Rockwell Automation PLC products. • Experience with HMI programming systems along with the ability to develop, edit, modify, troubleshoot and understand HMI projects • Ability to work with electrical drawings and understand basic electrical installation practices EDUCATION: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
