Responsibilities ITCC II Program - Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a

Sr.

Middleware Administrator for our

Offutt AFB, NE in the ITCC II CTR office.In this role the contractor will be responsible for the following:
  • Responsible for all facets of administering war fighting web systems at USSTRATCOM.
  • Responsibilities include installing, configuring, securing, and optimizing complex enterprise web and middleware deployments on Linux platforms. Additional duties include deploying and integrating government developed applications into the web/middleware environment.
  • Server environments are subject to strict uptime requirements and secured per stringent DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides.
  • Environment heavily utilizes infrastructure as code principles and Ansible to provision commercial and government software.
  • Knowledge of Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment using WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, or similar class server systems.
  • Broad understanding of web technologies to include application and web servers, load balancers, browsers, protocols, data formats, markup and programming languages, and SSL
  • Experience with administering application server architectures in large enterprise environments utilizing WebLogic, JBoss, or similar servers
  • Knowledge of Apache web server administration
  • Familiarity with the Linux command line and basic Linux architecture
  • Ability to troubleshoot Java-based web applications
  • Shell and/or Python scripting experience
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles and the use of technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt
  • Working knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle and SQL
  • Willingness to travel

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelors degree in related IT discipline or 8 12 years of relevant experience

  • Active Top Secret/SCI level clearance
  • 8+ years of experience using JBoss, WebSphere, or similar class server systems.
  • 8+ years of experience using web technologies to include application and web servers, load balancers, browsers, protocols, data formats, markup and programming languages, and SSL
  • 8+ years of experience administering application server architectures in large enterprise environments utilizing WebLogic, JBoss, or similar servers
  • 8+ years of experience using Apache web server administration
  • 8+ years of experience using Linux command line and basic Linux architecture
  • 8+ years of experience using Shell and/or Python scripting
  • Must obtain/maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) within 6 months of hire

Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle and SQL
  • Knowledge of identity management solutions such as Oracle IAM or RH-SSO (Keycloak) is a plus
  • Load balancing technologies such as HA Proxy is a plus
  • CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins is a plus
  • Familiarity with Docker and VMWare is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with team lead to prioritize tasks
  • DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is a plus Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to customers and senior leaders
  • Well-rounded working knowledge of IT concepts and best practices
