Based on leadership decisions and business needs, "all other duties as assigned" will be expected for each position. Serve as liaison between IT Configuration team and operational units to gather detailed requirements and specifications from users, assist in the design and development of technical solutions, and ensure the technical solutions meet the user's needs. Responsible for the set-up and administration of application data configurations as well as the establishment and configuration of process flows in LHI's internal information system to help users improve efficiency. Document and Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Assist with the quality assurance and testing processes to ensure that the developed software functions satisfy original and end user requirements. You'll enjoy the flexibility to either work in office in La Crosse, WI or telecommute as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:- Elicit, vet, and document business requirements, from users groups and project stakeholders, for software and reporting updates, and configuration changes
- Create backlog of items by documenting business requirements and translating into technical specifications for software, SQL reporting, and system configuration changes
- Contribute to various projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives in a support role or in a system/subject matter expert (SME) role
- Assist in the maintenance of LHI's application's setup and configuration. Input of codes used for data collection and document review
- Assist in the maintenance of administrative and customer configuration rules and codes as well as setup and configuration for all other entities and functional areas of LHI's applications
- Assist in the maintenance of report templates, document templates and keep current
- Provide escalation path for MedNet "help desk" and answer user questions as needed
- Research and document issues / bugs before reporting these to the developers
- Provide On-Call MedNet support on designated weekends and/or as business needs determine
- Assist in testing new system functionality before it is implemented to ensure it meets business and user requirements
- 6+ months experience in business analysis and/or gathering business requirements or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered
- Must be able to understand complex business processes that cross many functional operational units
- Intermediate Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to understand complex concepts of software setup, configuration and customization, especially the relationships between database tables
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or other related field
- Understanding of complex database structures and relationships (tables, joins, key fields)
- Experience with Structured Query Language, MS SQL Server, or other relational databases
- Attention to detail is essential as are good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive application setup tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Understanding of Agile principles and software development methodologies
- Experience with Microsoft Visio
