Learn more at www.avaya.com.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNTIY The Senior Avaya Architect has the overall responsibility of designing, implementing and executing a cloud migration strategy solution with our client, cross-service teams, and third-party partners. The Senior Architect will need to understand the adoption challenges implementing a Unified Communication infrastructure within a Federally Certified Cloud environment. #LI-LD1 ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and document Avaya UC/CC architecture within an Impact Level 5 cloud environment for The Avaya Aura suite including System Manager, Session Manager, Communications Manager, Media Servers, Avaya Aura Device Services, Avaya Session Border Controller Enterprise, Avaya Web Gateway, Avaya Conferencing and Avaya Presence and Messaging.
  • Design requirements in compliance with Federal standards such as the DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks. Delineate system/application authorization boundaries based on logical (technical & physical) network boundaries while maintaining alignment with existing architecture and lines of the budget. Categorize systems by information type and impact levels.
  • Perform discovery of customer environment for requirements gathering, cloud solution deployment or migration.
  • Develop cloud deployment workbooks including Solution Design Document, IP Address workbook, IP Telephony workbook, maintain Visio diagrams of network design, and OVA pre-implementation requirements. Support active deployment of Avaya Aura unified communication systems.
  • Support engineering teams in building, testing, and upgrading the Avaya cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain technical competency for all products
  • Create, review and/or evaluate technical scopes of work
  • Provide research and development support on new products
  • Create and maintain documentation for products including version releases, patches, upgrades and for features and functionality of each application in the cloud environment
RESPONSIBILITIES (Cont.)
  • Effectively represent architecture to Sales, Security, Customer and Compliance Authorization personnel.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel early in the system development lifecycle (SDLC) to determine what IT regulations and compliance requirements must be met before the accreditation of a new system. Considerations to include the location of the system, the information the system is exposed to, the purpose of the system, planned connection to other systems, and the system type.
  • Maintain Visio diagrams of network design, and OVA pre-implementation requirements.

  • Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)

  • Meet the personnel security requirements and undergo background checks as defined in OPM policy IAW the FedRAMP Moderate baseline, the FedRAMP+ CEs related to personnel security, and DoD personnel security policies.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
  • Minimum 5 years UC Architect experience, OR combination of a Bachelors degree in telecommunications, computer science or related field PLUS at least 2 years UC Architect experience within a DoD Impact Level, FedRAMP environment.
  • 5+ years of Experience leading voice projects and teams related to Avaya Aura unified communications deployments
  • 2+ years of Experience with Avaya Aura 7.x and higher
  • 2+ years Avaya Session Border Controller 3+ years of Experience with voice protocols such MGCP, H323, SIP, SIP Trunks
  • 3+ years of Experience with complex dial plan configuration in Session Manager and Communication Manager
