Position SummaryThe Software Engineer has a good understanding of development best practices and is proficient at writing secure, reliable, and maintainable code. A crucial player on their scrum team, the software engineer works closely with product management, UX, and other engineers. This engineer collaborates to improve their technology and to understand, develop, and improve features on their cloud platform. The successful candidate is a skilled and flexible software engineer who loves to learn and succeed as a team.Position Qualifications• Minimum 4 years’ experience developing cloud-based, customer facing systems• Experience developing RESTful APIs between internal and external service layers using industry standards•JavaScript skills with experience in larger JavaScript codebases• Strong experience with unit and integration testing• Experience with React.js or Node.js• Knowledge of a data storage technologies such as SQL, MongoDB, and key-value stores• Knowledge developing solutions within cloud service architectures (Azure experience preferred)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities• Solid understanding of data structures and programming fundamentals• Proven problem solving, analytic, and diagnostic skills• Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn• Ability to learn new technologies and tools rapidly • Ability to clearly document solutions and communicate effectively with team
