Tactical Interoperability Engineer to support of the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Program Directorate located in Huntsville, Alabama. The IFMC Program Directorate serves as the leader in rapidly delivering quality and operationally effective Air Defense command and control (C2), counter-fires/counter target acquisition radars, and unit/force protection systems-of-systems, supporting PEO Missiles and Space, Department of the Army, and Joint Service programs for our Soldiers.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Planning and executing multiple data link connections between various systems used for Tactical Data Link engineering and information analysis
  • Effectively communicate on the planning, describe execution plan and responsible for all testing and coding
  • Communicate and execute the troubleshooting process for hardware, software, and networking to a level of proficiency that demonstrates the skill to accomplish tasks alone, or in a small team
  • Communicate clearly and concisely technological concepts, and be able to reference contribution to reports or discuss the Formal reporting process and how the current position requirements align with the needs of a Service Level Test environment

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Candidate may encounter the flexibility of determining their own schedule with the product, but must be comfortable communicating work performed, estimating time to completion, and possess the ability to meet deadlines even if unsupervised. Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelors degree with five (5) plus years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Tactical Satellite Radio, Data Link Forwarding, MIDS Radio, and Tactical Data Link - Data links include 6016, 6011, 6020, 3011A/B/C
  • AMDPCS hardware/software training (FAAD, AMDWS, ADSI, CDS3)
  • CDLIM hardware/software training
  • Troubleshooting process for hardware, software and networking independently and in a team environment
  • Test Operations and Formal DoD test experience
  • Utilizing Automated test scripts with systems like IES (Interoperability Engineering System)
  • Log collection and Wireshark packet capture

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Log and message format analysis
  • ATC script building
  • SLT(Service Level Testing) Experience
