Springs Window Fashions is hiring for a Supplier Quality Manager to drive the company's Quality at the Source Program leveraging Continuous Improvement methodologies, development of a Supplier Quality Management System to provide accurate and meaningful metrics to measure and drive supplier performance. Job Summary Drive the company Quality at the Source (Q@S) program through disciplined supplier quality and continuous improvement methodologies. The SQM is responsible for the supplier quality performance results to support the overall business objectives. The purpose of this position is to manage SQ resources and work cross-functionally to ensure suppliers understand company policies, requirements and specifications to prevent, detect and correct non-conformances. This role reports directly to the company VP of Quality and works closely with the Sourcing and Engineering teams, as well as facility Quality teams. Job Duties This position will execute the company Supplier Quality strategy and in coordination with the Sourcing team support the North American supply base strategy through a disciplined approach to supplier quality and continuous improvement. The SQM will lead the implementation of a robust Supplier Quality Management System based on the company Supplier Manual expectations and include focus areas such as: assessment, audits, balanced scorecards, non-conformance control, document control, process control, measurement systems, change management, corrective action and continuous improvement. The SQM will lead supplier problem solving efforts by investigating and analyzing supplier quality performance issues using 8D methodology to resolve issues in a timely manner and minimize supply chain disruption. The SQM will work with facilities on appropriate incoming inspection programs linked to AQL sample plans based on supplier or part risk and work diligently towards supplier certification. The SQM will implement appropriate data collection methods and analyze key supplier quality indicators to create performance scorecards and define focus areas for improvement by leading the Supplier Quality Steering Team. The SQM will lead supplier change management efforts through participation on cross-functional New Product Introduction teams using an APQP-type stage gate development process, assessing potential suppliers and supplier PPAP. The SQM will develop suppliers in the use of Lean, Six Sigma and 8D methods and tools to improve supplier performance. The SQM will also coach and lead cross-functional teams in supplier improvement projects. Requirements, Education, and Experience Bachelor's or University degree in engineering or business. ASQ certification as CQE, CSQP or CMQ/OE, Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications are a plus. 5 years manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years Quality Management experience. Experience leading supplier quality programs, initiatives and/or improvement projects is necessary. The ability to travel at least 25% within North America, and at times overseas. Must have the ability to obtain a passport and visa to Mexico and various Asian countries. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities "Change Agent" attitude with the ability to deliver on-time results in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and disciplines. Knowledge of APQP/PPAP process and tools for change and supplier management. Proven track record of leading supplier quality improvement projects, initiatives and teams. The ability to create data collection methods and analysis to enable continuous improvement. The ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings and tolerances to define supplier quality inspection and process controls. Behavioral Competencies
