Potential for Remote Work: NoDescription SAIC is seeking a Lead Pegasystems architect to support development and operations for national-security critical enterprise systems at a large Federal agency. We are seeking an experienced individual to support our customer in digital transformation efforts. The position requires a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to build innovative business solutions using the Pega platform. The Lead Pegasystem Architect candidate should possess a proven track record of supporting technical design in collaboration with business and other technologists. Work will include design and development of components for enterprise applications, and providing consultative guidance on to customer stakeholders as well as our development teams. Job Duties: Responsible for overall leadership and direction of Pegasystems solutions in support of a complex IT systems support and transformation effort. Manage complex teams consisting of internal and external resources to enable IT transformational activities for a large US Government organization. Successful delivery of these IT services includes the following high-level objectives:
  • Continual modernization of the Customer's portfolio of IT systems
  • Delivery of enterprise-wide and scalable IT solutions
  • Manage and support geographically dispersed workforce
  • Balance technical and strategic support activities to fulfill missions
  • Effective cost management and full accountability and apportionment
  • Maintain secure operational environment
  • Effective application of service cost and service management practices to achieve full cost transparency.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of work experience; Masters and 7 years of experience; or a minimum 13 years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA) certification
  • 5+ years of relevant design and architecture experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Pega version 7.x or greater
  • 2+ years of experience with Connectors and Services in Pega platform to integrate with external systems
  • 5+ years of experience with the following: Agile (Scrum; SAFe experience a plus); creating system architecture diagrams and documentation for review by both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as interfacing with the customer on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of Pega Standards and Guardrails
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an IRS Public Trust

  • Prior Federal financial agency experience
  • IRS experience
  • Experience with Pega case management solutions
  • Experience conducting playback sessions
  • Experience with process flow documentation creation, presentation and conducting trainings
  • Experience with implementing DevOps (Test and CI/CD) in Pega environment
  • Experience with designing and implementing REST based API integration services
  • Experience with Pega Express concepts
