Responsible for working with stakeholders to define processes and customize the Salesforce Platform. Will help users get the most out of Salesforce by making the platform work for specific user needs. The Salesforce Administrator will bring innovation by automating business processes, creating reports and dashboards, training users on Salesforce, and staying on top of platform updates, and potential system implications related to the Salesforce release upgrades.

Principal Responsibilities Administration of the Salesforce environment, responsibilities include customizing and implementing profiles, roles, security settings, sharing rules, applications, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflows, process flows, record types, validation rules, approvals, dashboards, reports, etc. Providing support to Salesforce users in all groups to resolve issues with Salesforce and related applications. Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce platform and other internal/external business applications. Maintain system documentation and Salesforce policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits, manual or automated data entry/data clean-up, integrity issues or opportunities for process improvement as required. Analyze business needs in order to Identify opportunities for application optimization, integration, redesign, or development. Research best tools and features to use to meet business needs. Collaborate with project managers to identify project milestones, tasks, and required resources to develop a detailed project plan. Environments management and support. Enforce Salesforce security best practices. Support and troubleshoot production issues, as needed. Identify production risks and areas for improvement; prioritizes, designs, documents, and facilitates successful implementation and adoption of new processes. Train other users in new or existing Salesforce functionality and monitor adoption. Take a leadership role in Salesforce related projects serving as a liaison between key business units and technical resources, guiding conversations, proposed solutions and helping direct and/or manage project resources. Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, Lightning Experience as well as Salesforce platform architecture, out of the box functionality, configuration, and customization. Excellent communication(written and verbal) and organizational skills. Knowledge of Salesforce and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs. Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration. Strong functional understanding of object-oriented databases and systems. Ability to develop requirements for applications based on user input and needs. Ability to learn quickly, contribute to a team effort and work on multiple, time-critical projects simultaneously. Logical, process-oriented thinker with a natural sense of urgency. Strong problem solving, priority setting, multi-tasking, analytical and collaboration skills. Able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours a day doing repetitive motions on a keyboard. Able to lift up to 25 pounds above shoulder height.

Experience At least 3 years of working on the Salesforce platform in an admin capacity. Previous experience with Salesforce in the software/IT vertical is strongly preferred. Experience working with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.

Education/Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field required. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field is a plus. Certified Salesforce Administrator required.

LanguageProficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
