A remote friendly, Green/Sustainable Energy startup in DC is hiring for a Senior DevOps Engineer. They are targeting someone with experience with AWS services, CloudFormation or Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes/EKS, and the ability to script with Python/Ruby. Any experience with Helm/Lambda are big pluses. The candidate will be working on a Senior Team, migrating towards EKS, in a fully hosted AWS environment. Along with: mentoring engineering teammates to create good infrastructure and design decisions, maintaining infrastructure-as-code tools, design and develop robust and more. This is a full-time position, 100% remote and can pay competitively DOE, they have great benefits and a great work culture. Required Skills & Experience
  • Over 4 years of relevant experience
  • CloudFormation or (Terraform, Ansible etc.) experience
  • Ability to create and deliver project commitments
  • Strong communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with deployment patterns (Rails, Django etc.)
  • Startup experience
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, and SQS
  • Experience with datastores like, PostgreSQL on RDS, Aurora, Dynamo, and Elasticsearch

What You Will Be Doing
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Analysts, and Product to create new application features
  • Design and develop robust
  • Advance and nurture companies' application infrastructure using Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, Helm charts
  • Mentor engineering teammates
  • Create and maintain business-critical infrastructure-as-code
