Head of Computational Biology

Title: Associate Director of Computational Biology Job Description A local-to Cambridge, Massachusetts Biotech startup is looking to bring on a hands-on Leader for Computational Biology to work on highly computational projects with direct impact on strategy and business for the company. The company's current team is leveraging gene editing technologies plus a publications from top software companies (including cloud computing and machine learning methods) to find new cures for diseases and cancers. This company is extremely well funded by both business partners and Venture Capital groups, and they have capital through current business relationships too. Required Skills & Experience

• A background in leveraging cloud computing for biodiscovery
• Fluency in Python is a must
• 5+ years of experience as a bioinformatician or computational biologist

• Intellectual Curiosity (how far will you go to find the right answer, and how will you do that?)
• Doctorate degree is a plus, but not required

• Collaborating with a wet labs teams, software teams, and your own team on a daily basis
• Impacting the business with technical decisions to affect strategy and outcome
• Engineering the product plus coaching other members of the team on computational methods
