Location: Indianola, PA 15051Duration: 6 monthsElectronic Component EngineerThe Electronics Engineering Department is responsible for developing and maintaining the electronic hardware (circuitry and printed circuit boards) and embedded software used in Bayer Radiology Devices.Position Summary:We are converting our Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Printed Circuit Boards from standalone, independent BOMs to electronically managed BOMs using the Windchill Product Data Management system. As part of the process, current BOMs must be analyzed to identify and resolve discrepancies. The job entails transferring the existing BOMs to the Windchill system and identifying and resolving issues and discrepancies with the current BOM content.Position Duties and Responsibilities:- Create BOM structures for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies in the Windchill Product Data Management System- Transfer current, independently managed BOMs and associated component information to the Windchill system- Analyze the BOMs for technical or administrative issues, and update the components and BOMs as needed to resolve any identified issuesRequirements/Preferences:- Education Minimum Requirement - Associates Degree- Education Preferred - Bachelors DegreeSkills & Competency Requirements:- At least one year of experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools or Product Data Management systems.- General familiarity with electronic components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.).- Competent with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, etc.).- Ability to communicate technical information to Electronic Designers and EngineersPreferences:- Experience creating structured Bills of Material in Product Data Management Systems- In-depth understanding of electronic components and their attributes- Experience selecting, qualifying, approving, documenting, and managing electronic components used in purchased Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
