DaaS product shop in the loop is hiring for a Team Lead on their Data team. You have a knack for scalability; building data abile pipelines able to handle high volumes of data. If you are a Senior or Lead Data Engineer looking for the next level in your career, OR a hands on Data Team Manager, this is the role for you. In this role you will initially lead a team of 2 data engineers, but eventually will scale it to 4-5. This team is responsible for creating and maintaining event based services leveraged by product teams using Python, Spark, Airflow, ElasticSearch, Kinesis, & Docker. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years professional experience in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role with a data focus
- 2+ years experience leading or managing a data or platform team
- Skilled in building ETL jobs in Airflow
- Skilled in building Data pipelines using EMR and Spark
- AWS or GCP
- Glue, S3, Redshift, Google BigQuery, orand other cloud data tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with streaming services (Spark, Pyspark, Kafka)
- Experience in software development or owning the full development life cycle
- Experience deploying and maintaining RESTful services
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience working with highly secure/sensitive data
- Masters Degree
