MANUFACTURING ENGINEERWork for a division of a World Class 100+ year old manufacturer near York, Pennsylvania. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and control the manufacturing processes which operation relies upon to achieve the performance objectives in accordance with Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost/Value.

Job duties
  • Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency
  • Reducing waste of materials and utilities
  • Restructuring job duties
  • Reorganizing work flow
  • Layout of work stations and equipment
  • Purchase of equipment.
  • Present Manufacturing Process Improvement opportunities for plant operations
  • Determine best uses of automation to improve the business.
  • Lead improvement teams to develop and implement improvements.
  • Develop effective problem resolution using root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Create value stream mapping documentation for assembly plant operations.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing process FMEA's to prioritize corrective actions
  • Establish standard work instructions to ensure consistent execution of workforce labor tasks.
  • Institute time studies and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Develop capital equipment justifications to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Analyze work force utilization, facility layout and operational data
  • Utilize production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

RequirementsBachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in an engineering discipline. Minimum 3 or more years related manufacturing experience. Strong process improvement experience with cost reduction, continuous flow, assembly operations, and sheet metal operations.
