Role: Sr. Network Engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN Type: Contract Apex Systems, a national leader in IT staffing and solutions, is searching for Sr. Network Engineer to support a large client in Indianapolis, IN. This is a contract role with one of our top clients and candidates that qualify will be able to start immediately! We are looking for Engineers with strong communication skills, strong work ethic, and experienced in Avaya and/or Aruba technologies. See below for further details!Responsibilities and Skillsets Required:
- Strong Networking skills including subnetting, addressing, firewall rules, and high usage of Fortinet
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to Wireless hardware
- Strong Wireless experience including Avaya (Avaya Extreme preferred)
- Aruba Wireless, with emphasis on LAN experience
- Design and implementation of network solutions to improve efficiencies
- Install, configure and maintain various network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints
- Design, implementation and configuration of next generation firewalls including application visibility, threat prevention, network security mitigation strategies and IDS/ISP solutions
- Provide technical input in reviewing architecture, policies and procedures
- Optimize reliability, performance, supportability and security of our production infrastructure.
- Work on issues of varying complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization
- Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations
- Develop capacity plans for new and existing infrastructure
- Perform network maintenances/upgrades
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages, overseeing unique or escalated issues
