Software Engineering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to support a Space and Missile program located at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. This leader has responsibility for software engineers and developers supporting pre-and post-launch satellite systems. The successful candidate will manage a dynamic team supporting missions at a high op-tempo.Primary duties include: Software Engineering Manager will apply software engineering principles to design software specifications for Service Oriented Architecture objects and applications Assist in analysis of functional business requirements Software Engineering Manager will conceptualize, design, develop, test and integrates a wide variety of program designs May recommend modifications or improvements to new or existing applications Test, debug, and refine software to meet customer requirements Software Engineering Manager will prepare required documentation for both program management and end-usersREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and 9 years or more of relevant experience; Master's degree and 7 years or more of relevant experience Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Within 6 months of start date Strong software development and integration background with experience in the entire systems development life cycle (SDLC) process Experience with leading a software design team of 10 plus engineers Experience with real time systems, embedded software and VMware Good understanding of disciplined processes and information and data managementKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
