Role: Sr. Vulnerability Analyst Role Summary: The Sr. Vulnerability Analyst role is a key position within the end to end process of vulnerability management. The role will be responsible for working with individual technology and customer patch teams to assure patch and vulnerability remediation activities are being addressed per policy, and have appropriate action plans in place. The role will also be responsible for managing a defect management process, and will report on the effectiveness of the various patch and vulnerability management activities to senior leadership. The role will facilitate the exception management process between technology owners and the responsible ISO function, and will liaise with the vulnerability scanning function to ensure process effectiveness. The role will also run internal and external communications on Emergency Patching activities.Experience, Education, Certifications, Licensing 6-7 years' experience required- In-depth technical knowledge associated with current network, Operating systems and security hardware, software, protocols and Internet standards including Windows, Linux, UNIX, routers, firewalls, switches, workstations, and various IT and Business applications. • Functional knowledge of existing information technology products, including networks and infrastructure related tools (ServiceNow, Splunk, Qualys, SCCM, etc.) as well as working with vulnerability and compliance management solutions." Four-year degree required- Technology or Cyber Security field Education: Bachelor's in IT or IT related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

  • Must be able to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT members. Must be a conceptual and analytical thinker.
  • Must communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to team members, be comfortable with coordination, collaboration and communication with remotely deployed team members.
  • Work well with customers to bring together requirements and ensure implementation of vulnerability and compliance management solutions.
  • Use ITIL principles to optimize and reduce risks within IT systems, particularly as it relates to security.
  • Knowledge applying security principles as it relates to IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Understanding of SANS Critical Security Controls (CSC).
  • Moderate knowledge of penetration techniques.
  • Create action items, processes and technical solutions that enable the company to meet business goals as well as customer regulatory requirements. Review, assess and mitigate internal and external threats to company information.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Developing documentation with processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of business processes supporting IT programs, networks, and/or cybersecurity programs.
  • Understanding of life cycle testing principles.
  • 2-3 year experience preferred.
