SSIS Engineer

We’re looking for someone who has thorough professional experience working with a team of people to produce elegant data solutions that empower our users to make critical business decisions. This person will need to be comfortable to be contributing on to the technical design, writing quality code, unit testing, giving feedback on requirements, and working with teammates to produce great software. Be passionate about software development Ability to understand, analyze, technical approaches to address challenging development and integration problems with data centric cloud systems Collaborate with fellow technical resources to shape the data design of features within the application Take pride and ownership over the applications in which they work Implement the organization’s data and propose solutions on how it can be leveraged Implement corporate cloud security and best practices Have ability to understand and implement tasks to develop cloud managed, high performance, mission critical applications with high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms Provide complete testing support to include unit testing, system/integration testing, UAT and implementation support Possess strong facilitation, questioning, and listening skills to ask right questions of individuals and groups to surface essential requirements information Have the ability to listen, understand and have open discussions for betterment of solution. Qualifications: Minimum of 4+ years of professional development experience Advanced understanding of big data concepts and processing large amounts of data Experience in implementing systems based on cloud technologies Experience with AWS and/or azure technologies a huge plus Demonstrated experience with ETL, moving and transforming data between stores Strong SQL skills. Should be able to write complex queries and implement performance tuning Should have extensive SSIS knowledge and be familiar with SSIS projects Demonstrated experience in a modern development language - python and c# Demonstrated experience with data warehousing Advanced understanding of data modeling Advanced understanding of data warehousing principles Ability to collaborate with the team, including participating in and leading design sessions, story grooming sessions, and code reviews Experience working on a team using an agile methodology (SCRUM, FDD, XP, Kanban, etc.) Experience across the software development life cycle, from analysis to support Experience with Snowflake a huge plus
