Analytics Engineer to work in a fast-moving, forward-leaning environment to build a full featured platform which will serve as the backbone for their big data and data analytics innovations. We are looking for modern data enthusiasts who want to make a big impact, deliver great technology, and work on an exciting team.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Work in a team using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging business problems and build solutions
  • Interact directly with our client(s) to understand their needs and meet, or exceed their expectations by meeting delivery deadlines
  • Work in an agile environment as a member of a scrum team that works in parallel with multiple additional scrum teams within the program
  • Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards, best practices, and trends.
  • Design, implement, and test cloud-based enterprise data warehouse solutions

Location and Travel Details This is a remote position with occasional travel once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Profile of Success
  • Strong data analyst skills
  • Be able to facilitate and elicit business and technical requirements definition discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Expert in SQL, including hands-on experience with developing SQL to transform data
  • Experience with source data management and data ingestion
  • Working knowledge of software engineering practices like version control, testing and continuous integration
  • Be able to review and understand Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models
  • Experience with Data Warehousing techniques: ETL/ELT, Type 2 Schemas
  • Be able to construct data element source to target mappings (STMs) as part of requirements
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, and testing ELT/ETL codeand data model integrity
  • Experience in designing and implementing efficient and robust ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers, and event-based triggers

Desirable Skills
  • Be able to construct SQL queries for source data profiling and analysis
  • Be able to construct SQL queries for writing test cases to validate deployed data warehouse solutions
  • Knowledge of advanced source data profiling techniques and data quality measures
  • Experience in working with YAML
  • Experience with working with data models developed using the Data Vault 2.0 methodology
  • Experience with data build tool (dbt)
  • Experience in working with Azure DevOps and Git for source control management
  • Experience in working with Azure DevOps build release pipelines for release deployments
  • Experience in working with Azure data movement and transformation capabilities (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Analytics, Data Bricks, Stream Analytics)
  • Experience in working with the Azure storage technologies (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Database)
