TeamSoft’s client is looking for a
GIS Software Engineer / Developer to join their team here in Des Moines! To be successful in this role, you must be familiar with multi-tiered architecture and have experience working within the User-Interface, Business (Domain), Data tiers, and GIS systems. In addition, you will need to have experience developing applications using Javascript, Java, C#.Net, and other mapping applications. Ability to be a self-starter, who is creative, talented, and able to contribute to a high-energy, collaborative agile scrum team. Responsibilities:- Code and validate software on smaller projects in accordance with company specifications and requirements.
- Evaluate, clarify, and understand requirements documents and functional specifications.
- Create, update, and maintain appropriate application and code documentation.
- Troubleshoot coding issues quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace.
- Lead tasks, small projects, and assign work based on requirements and direction from the manager.
- Assist with the development and implementation of IT department processes and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associates' degree required along with three to five or more years of software development experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in an Agile environment is highly preferred.
- GIS experience is strongly preferred.
