Mandatory Certifications:

Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions for both on-premise and cloud resources
  • Define, create, and manage the Service Mapping infrastructure, including schedules, credentials, and mid-servers
  • Develop, document, implement, and maintain Service Mapping governance processes, procedures, standards, and policies
  • Define, create, and manage Service Mapping infrastructure, including patterns
  • Create and maintain Service Mapping-related documentation
  • Design, develop, and deploy new Service Mapping functionality
  • Ensure that Service Mapping is performing as expected
  • Ensure Service Mapping meets it requirements, including schedule scope, schedule completion and CMDB data population
  • Define, create, and monitor Service Mapping health reports and dashboards
  • Identify, investigate and resolve Service Mapping issues in a timely manner
  • Design, implement, and manage Service Mapping integrations with other systems
  • Keep Service Mapping aligned with other methods of populating the CMDB
  • Raise awareness and provide guidance to improve the understanding of Service Mapping and how it updates the CMDB
  • Ensure Service Mapping meets both the current and anticipated scope
  • Develop and maintain plans for both project and operational activities and provide project or operational briefings / updates as needed
  • Communicate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Experience:
  • Comprehensive understanding and background in ServiceNow Service Mapping and how it should populate the CMDB
  • 3 years hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing ServiceNow Sevice Mapping
  • Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow Service Mapping governance processes, procedures, policies and related documentation
  • Strong understanding of application architecture
  • Experience mapping large and complex applications
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery and how it integrates with Service Mapping
  • Experience must include knowledge of, and the ability to properly interpret and act on, CI IRE rules, Discovery logs (e.g.: errors), patterns and probes (e.g.: debugging)
  • Familiarity with XML and JSON/script language concepts
  • Experience working with IT Application Owners and Enterprise Architecture to ensure effective Service Mapping solutions
  • Experience mapping cloud resources to applications
  • Experience with Java scripting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Resourceful, takes the initiative to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Service Mapping
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Discovery is a plus
