Job Description One of the largest digital software and services companies is hiring a Philadelphia-based Product Engineer that will be supporting various applications in Java and Oracle. They are looking for a Senior Engineer that has experience also working with middleware technologies. This is a cloud-based environment so any experience with cloud infrastructure and deploying applications onto the cloud will be helpful. This is a 100% remote role and while it will start as a contract position, will be a six-month contract-to-hire prior to conversion. You will be working with new technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, ELK, Kafka, and Cassandra. Required Skills & Experience
- Expert-level experience with Java development
- Strong experience working with Oracle-based systems
- Strong experience with middleware technologies like Websphere and Weblogic
- Strong administration experience with Linux OS
- Excellent communication and passion for technology
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with CI/CD technologies like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
- Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, etc.
- Experience supporting real-time applications using Kafka, etc.
- Experience supporting 24x7 environments
