Best fit for this gig is if you have food truck work experience. Jeepney CapHill is a walk-up window on Capitol Hill. Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate his/her ability to smoothly greet customers, answer questions, take and ring order, cook and pack orders and lastly do food prep and clean.

You must be able to:

take and ring up customer orders at walk up window

operate delivery food apps on tablet devices

follow and complete daily prep list

create daily grocery list for ownership

wash and dish all kitchen equipment during shifts

follow written instructions

follow verbal instructions

work solo

work efficiently

communicate by text and email

lift 50lbs and be able to climb stairs

As an important team member, you will be helping to preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Responsibilities

Set up workstations with required ingredients and cooking equipment

Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (prepare vegetables, meat cutting/handling, sauté, fry, grill, etc.)

Cook food in various utensils or grillers

Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen, coolers, freezers, dry goods, etc

Ensure all food and other items are stored and labeled properly

Check quality of ingredients and keep waste log up to date

Follow and complete BOH opening and closing duties

Compile end of shift email

Complete end of shift sales reporting form

Valid food handlers permit is required.

Hourly wage is $18 per hour plus tips. On average including tips, pay range is $21-$25 per hour.
