Mechanical Designer

Net Positive Consulting Engineers (NPC) is seeking a Passionate professional looking to advance Central California buildings through design innovation and creativity. Ideal candidates must be a team player willing to teach others, continue their professional development, Organized, and ambitious.

NPC is growing mechanical consulting firm, located in Clovis California, that provides value to Architects, Owners, and Contractors through Sound HVAC and Plumbing engineering and timely responses.

The job duties include working with a team to create HVAC system designs, calculations, and project documents, which Includes: reports, concept designs, plan check and construction documents (including specifications). Responsibilities in construction includes site visits and responding to RFIs.

Required Qualifications:

1. 3+ years’ experience in HVAC design.

2. College Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year University.

3. Engineer in Training Certificate (EIT)

4. If not licensed in California as Professional Engineer, candidate should be pursuing.

5. Design proficiency with 2019 California codes for HVAC including but not limited to air systems, VRF systems, package units.

6. Proficient in AutoCAD MEP, Excel, Word suite, and energy modeling software.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California in good current standing.

2. Plumbing design experience with building waste and water systems, water heaters, and pumping systems.

3. HVAC design and equipment selection experience with chillers, condensing boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and dehumidification systems.

4. Proficient In Revit, but if not, then must be willing to learn.
