JOB SUMMARY
The position will encompass field service installation, repair, and maintenance for key customer accounts in the local Salinas valley area. Applicants must have extensive experience with anhydrous ammonia and Commercial Refrigeration. This position also will require some travel outside of the Salinas valley area.
Key Tasks
Provide customers with technical support for diagnosing problems, repairs, installation, and maintenance of their refrigeration systems at customer sites
Lead multi-personnel work teams on complex work jobs while providing technical support to work team
Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of ammonia central systems, & control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required
Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications
Organize, track, and analyze all activities, and maintain the field service database updated
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide leadership technical support in field to other co-workers
Make repairs as assigned on a task basis, maintain equipment, operations and services per the direction of the supervisor on duty.
Complete projects and tasks as assigned, using best judgement as to the appropriate course of action.
Secure need materials and supplies.
Follow all necessary safety steps, including but not limited to Lock-out Tag-out procedures.

Ensure that all service reporting, work order documents, and records are written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.

Validate team work in the field to ensure we meet customer and company quality standards.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High School education or equivalent
Knowledge of controls and electrical systems (low voltage and High up to 480 v)
Minimum 5-7 years of refrigeration experience required; RETA Certification: minimum CIRO certification or equivalent, willingness to work on obtaining CIRO certification with 6 months of hire
Ability and willingness to take initiative and work under no direct supervision while providing direction to co-workers in the field
Organized and have the ability to think systematically about how to work more efficiently every day as an individual and within a team setting environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills with tablets, cell phones, and Work Flow Management Software (a plus, will train)
Possess the ability to provide customer technical training including all compliance related issues
Must possess a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
Emergency Response Training (a plus)
Must be able to wear a respirator and pass a fit test
Safety minded attitude
Position may have occasional overtime, there will be daily traveling, and occasional heavy lifting
Motor alignment and vibration analysis experience a plus+
Position requires a pre-employment drug screening and motor vehicle record screening
Forklift training and have an operator’s license (or be able to qualify for an operator’s license)

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary Range: $45.00 - $55.00
