Proactively escalates issues and exceptions to senior members of the team resulting in a positive employee associate experience while monitoring compliance, cost mitigation, equity and policy adherence.Acts as a point of contact for inquiries involving mobility for employees and general employee inquiries. Supports management and assignee through assignment life cycle of planning, pre-assignment, during assignment and end of assignment with extensions/repatriation or localization and the applicable process nuances.Ensures required information is obtained related to applications for processing and completing the execution of mobility movements.Oversees and executes on high volumes of immigration activities and statuses, including displacement or transfer strategies. May communicate directly with employees, their managers, People Business Partners, Legal and other People CoEs (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, etc.) to provide a clear understanding of mobility policies (and alternatives), including regulatory requirements, mobility costs and budgets as well as business specific mobility issues.Provides oversight to administrative support staff to ensure the accurate tracking of all global mobility activity. Ensures end-to-end updates and monitors cases to ensure timely movement on necessary activities that facilitate Global Mobility assignments. Actively manages the process ensuring timely completion of cost analysis, form completions, review of documents, approvals, system updates and other related transactions.Assists with internal and external audits associated with the talent mobility program. Prepares data and reports to support the administration of the mobility programs.Continually updates immigration resources (FAQs, intranet content, templates, communications) to promote manager/employee education and self-service. Identifies and recommends process improvements and automation opportunities to Total Rewards leadership for continuous improvement.Stays current with laws, regulations and procedures that directly impact domestic and international mobility. Provides information to cross-functional partners, managers, and employees on mobility policies and practices, ensuring compliance to mobility policies and practices.May support on tasks as assigned for broader team initiatives, global projects, development of processes, procedures and job tools; work to ensure consistency with global processes and procedures.Performs additional tasks as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree: Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or related disciplines.At least 10+ years of experience working in International Mobility and Business Immigration is required, preferably within a multinational organization. Large multinational organization experience is preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of international and domestic relocation experience preferred.Understanding of non-immigrant visa classifications, including H-1B, F-1, TN, L-1. Knowledge of immigrant visa process, including PERM, and I-140 is required.Understanding of global tax and payroll implications associated with global mobility programs and relocations.Cross cultural sensitivity required and accustomed to work in a global team across time zones.Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving complex immigration issues, and can independently navigate unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances with accountability and sound personal judgment.Experience managing a global team and leveraging resources across all time zones. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESHuman Resources and/or Relocation certifications such as Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) or Certified Relocation Professional (CRP)designations a plus.COMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of management. Ability to articulate immigration matters to stakeholders.Must be able to convey difficult messages in a clear and concise manner and deftly handle sensitive matters.OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESA solid understanding of Microsoft Office and experience with utilizing technology systems that maintain demographic and financial payroll compensation data is essential for this role.Having a solid work ethic and self-starter attitude is essential for this role.Ability to work effectively in a multi-national, global team environment, and service demanding clientele in a fast-paced environment.Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive with exceptional organizational skills; must be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.Colorado Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Global Mobility Director position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Global Mobility Director is $190,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
