JOB TITLE: Executive Housekeeper

DIVISION: Housekeeping

REPORTS TO: Director of Lodging

LOCATION: Lodging

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/Year Round/Salary

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Executive Housekeeper supervises the daily operations of the housekeeping staff while promoting a safe environment and quality service that ensures guest satisfaction and the protection of all assets with minimal expenses. This position maintains the maintenance and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, Solitude village, supervises laundry operations, recommends and implements procedural changes, and monitors inventories and expenses.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous Management Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in housekeeping field
  • Ability to Coach and lead a team
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain flexible with a schedule that workload dictates
  • Ability to prioritize workload appropriately
  • The ability to analyze report data, prepare reports, initiate correspondence and create schedules
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the housekeeping employees to attract, retain, and motivate them while providing a safe working environment.
  • In charge of housekeeping staff at the Inn, SRL and in the Village
  • Interview, hire, train, schedule, develop, empower, discipline, coach and counsel staff
  • Recommend and conduct performance and salary reviews for staff
  • Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back of house.
  • Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve high levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and report expenses (payroll and supplies) to aid in controlling costs while ensuring adequate staff and supplies are on hand for quality service
  • Inventory and maintain all housekeeping supplies at an appropriate level
  • Order supplies as needed
  • Assist with payroll
  • Respond to guest and owner requests, concerns, and solve problems that may arise.
  • Log and follow-up on maintenance issues
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and answer Lost and Found inquires
  • Conduct emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the resort’s guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Participate in resort committees and assignments
